Bal-a-vis-x: Rhythm is the Key Element!

"Bal-a-vis-x: Rhythmic Balance/Auditory/Visual/Exercises...requires focused attention, demands cooperation, promotes self-challenge, and fosters peer teaching."

Wow, a program that uses rhythm, cooperation, crossing the midline, and visual tracking all in the pursuit of an integrated nervous system that is ready learn.  There are many similarities here to aspects of Math in Your Feet including rhythmic movement in concert with others, self-challenge, peer cooperation, and cross-lateral movements.  Sounds like a great idea whose time has come!

  1. Malke, I just checked out the Val-A-Vis-X "Who Benefits" page. It says it helps children with ocular mobility and binocularity problems. I am definitely going to look into this more. Thank you for the resource!

  2. I am a Bal-A-Vis-X practitioner / trainer. I find Bal-A-Vis-X to be very beneficial for all children as well as adults/seniors. The rhythm, eye tracking, cross midline exercises, and cooperation, keep it challenging while keeping participants interested. The use of a balance board while performing many of the exercises is also beneficial for vestibular stimulation.
